How to Get the Most out of Live Events

What’s up, everyone? Today I want to tell you how to get the most out of live events!

Consider reading this article and watching this video as preparation for Fund Launch Live this year!

I’ve traveled and attended numerous networking and workshop events around the world.

If I’m spending thousands of dollars to go to these events, I’m looking for some game-changing takeaways!

But why would I go to them in the first place?

What I Like

Most businesses are built in one day. Yes, it takes time to get all the details set up, but the brainstorming comes together in a very short period of time.

This is why I LOVE events. You get immersed in a topic for multiple days in a row – without any distractions!

Events need to be emotional. Events that can attach emotion to what’s being taught can change everything. The attendees will remember most of what they learned and be motivated to execute their plan of action.

I like events that have great speakers; some of them bring energy to the crowd and others are more serious. This will keep the listeners engaged!

Get the Most out of Events

Here are 3 steps that are crucial to crushing an event:

#1 Come with Confidence

The biggest mistake you can make at a networking event is hanging back and being shy.

Yes, it’s scary to approach intimidating strangers, but you need to get out of your comfort zone.

Like I explained in my video, here’s what I do:

In my hotel room before the event, I look in the mirror and say…

“Bridger, everyone that came to this event is looking to meet new people. There are things that YOU have that can benefit others. And everyone else is just as nervous as you are!”

No one goes to an event and thinks, “Man, I hope I don’t meet anyone of value to me.” Everyone is hoping to meet others!

#2 Come with Something to Offer

If you can offer something to someone else in your brief interaction, you’re more likely to make connections that will go beyond the event.

You can offer them to be a guest speaker on your podcast, or even better, you fund managers can let them in on the deals you have!

Remember, offer value without instantly expecting something in return!

#3 Follow Up

If a valuable individual gives you a shot, don’t miss it, because it’ll be the only one you get if you miss it!

I, personally, keep a list of people I meet on my phone, so I don’t forget to follow up with them.

Conclusion
